The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002 require all owners and operators of non-domestic buildings to manage the risk from exposure to asbestos.
The duty holder must
- Ascertain if there are any Asbestos Containing Materials (A.C.M.s) on the premises.
- Determine the type and condition of any such materials.
- Presume materials contain Asbestos unless there is strong evidence to suggest otherwise.
- Assess the risk of disturbance / exposure of any A.C.M.s or presumed A.C.M.s.
- Prepare and implement a written plan on how the risks are to be managed.
- Monitor, review, and update the plan periodically.
Nemco are able to provide a comprehensive and independent risk assessment and building survey to determine the controls that may be required.
In addition, through our network of approved suppliers we are able to pass on the details of removal and control companies. |
